Kind

Kindness is one of our core values.  As Kent’s first accredited Values-based Prep School, we nurture kindness toward others, the community, and the world—planting values that take root for life.

In our supportive environment, pupils gain confidence to speak up, try new things, and challenge themselves—growing deep roots that help them achieve more and make an impact in the world.

Brilliant

Our children flourish. From top academics to sports, music, drama, and scholarships, our greatest success is nurturing brilliance in every child, preparing them to thrive in their ideal secondary schools.

Pupils show a strong desire to do the best they can in a school which encourages reflection and aspirational attributes, through an agreed set of values that are regularly referred to during daily school activities. These have a positive impact on pupils’ attainment over time.

Welcome from the Headteacher…

Welcome to Hilden Oaks, the small, values-based school that cultivates brilliance…

At Hilden Oaks, we are more than just an educational institution; we are a nurturing community dedicated to fostering excellence in every child. Our unique values-based approach and small class sizes ensure that each pupil receives personalised attention, allowing their individual talents to shine and their character to flourish.

As the headteacher, my vision is for Hilden Oaks to be the best future-focused school where pupils, staff, and families become kind, brave, and brilliant, making a positive impact on the world.

My vision encapsulates our commitment as a school, to developing not only academic excellence—we are rightly proud of our success at 11+ and common entrance, but also the essential life skills and values needed to navigate an ever-changing world. I believe in creating a supportive environment where kindness is paramount, bravery emboldened, and brilliance is celebrated.

At our small school, every member of our community plays a crucial role in our collective success. Our skilful, experienced, and dedicated staff work tirelessly to provide innovative and engaging learning experiences, while our families are active partners in their children's education, fostering a strong, collaborative spirit.

Hilden Oaks is a small school where children are encouraged to dream big, think creatively, and act with integrity. Together, we are shaping a future where our pupils are not just learners, but leaders, ready to make a meaningful difference in the world.

I am thrilled to have been appointed headteacher at this gem of a school, and I’d love to show you more. You would be most welcome to join us at our next Open Morning, or I would be delighted to give you a personal tour at a time that is most convenient for you.

Come and see our school—where brilliance is cultivated every day.

Latest News…

At Hilden Oaks we pride ourselves on being a family school but it is not only about the school day. We offer a number of out-of-hours activities both during term-time and in the holidays, providing care for children for 50 weeks of the year.

During term-time, children of all ages may be dropped off from 7.45 am, then following the school day, may be collected up until 6.00 pm, having been given tea. A variety of after-school clubs are laid on for the school-age children. These allow our children a chance to wind down or do homework after the formal school day has ended, allowing parents time to pick children up from school after work.

Please contact contactus@hildenoaks.co.uk to find out more about any of the out of hours activities.
